Call for dodgy TOTE sale to be investigated by committee
I have written to the Chair of the Parliamentary Select Committee on the TOTE, Kim Booth, requesting the committee commence an investigation into the process which this week resulted in TOTE being sold for what experts consider to be well below its valued price.
Given the high number of unanswered questions and confused, contradictory statements by the Premier, the sale process must be fully investigated.
TOTE is not the Premier’s political plaything. It belonged to the people of Tasmania.
It is important that we get to the bottom of this dodgy fire sale in the interests of accountability and transparency. The TOTE committee is the appropriate body to do that.
