Labor losing faith in Lara

The Green-Labor experiment is failing Tasmania.

Lara Giddings should do the right thing, call an election and let the people of Tasmania have their say.

The Premier has already lost the support of the community and it appears she is fast losing the support of Labor’s heavyweights.

The Premier's mentor, former Labor Premier Paul Lennon, is reported in today's Examiner saying minority government is damaging Tasmania and the State is now in a “desperate situation”.

Mr Lennon has also said he has no faith in the forest peace deal, and rightly pointed out that “radical conservationists don’t compromise so why is it that all of a sudden they would start to compromise when they think that they have the industry on its knees?"

Mr Lennon is pointing out the obvious to his protégé, but like most Tasmanians he is being ignored by a Premier who has no plan for Tasmania and is captive to the Greens.

In contrast, the Liberals’ Roadmap to Recovery and Growth offers Tasmanians hope and a reason to be optimistic about the future, with a blueprint to kick- start the economy, create jobs, and tackle the cost of living.
